A total of 3,475 enterprises and nine decedent’s estates in Finland filed for bankruptcy in 2024, according to Statistics Finland.
The number of staff-years in enterprises that filed for bankruptcy amounted to 13,773 in last year.
A total of 268 bankruptcy proceedings were instigated in December 2024, which is 24 more than in the corresponding period one year earlier.
The number of staff-years in enterprises that filed for bankruptcy totalled 1,022, which is 549 staff-years fewer than in December 2023.
In December 2024, the 12-month moving annual change in enterprises that filed for bankruptcy was 5 per cent.
