Finland to launch campaign to lure deep-tech talents from abroad
Finland will start a new campaign to attract international top talent in the deep technology sectors from India, Brazil and the United States, as well as European countries, said the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment in a press release on Wednesday.
Work in Finland, the national body for international recruitment will launch the new talent attraction campaign this month.
The campaign will help Finnish companies, research institutions and universities to find and recruit international experts and researchers, especially in the technology sector.
Digital marketing, international media, events and networks will be used to highlight Finnish employers and job opportunities available in Finland.
The campaign will also support a call for applications of the Research Council of Finland to promote the recruitment of foreign researchers in Finnish universities.
“The campaign will make the Finnish innovation sector better known around the world and encourage international experts to seize the opportunities it offers,” said Minister of Employment Matias Marttinen in the press release.
“Finland does not have enough experts to meet the needs of cutting-edge research or the technology business. Global competition in quantum computing, photonics and health technology is fierce. Talents from abroad will help Finland remain in the innovation competition and attract international business to Finland,” said Laura Lindeman, Senior Director of Work in Finland.
