The working day adjusted turnover of construction enterprises decreased by 2.5 per cent in August 2025 compared to the previous year, according to Statistics Finland.
The volume of sales, from which the impact of price changes has been eliminated, increased by 1.0 per cent.
The turnover of construction decreased in most industries in August.
Working day adjusted turnover in building construction fell by 5.0 per cent and sales volume by 1.9 per cent in August compared to one year before.
In turn, working day adjusted turnover in civil engineering decreased by 6.5 per cent and sales volume by 4.5 per cent from the previous year.
Turnover in specialised construction activities went up by 0.8 per cent and sales volume by 4.0 per cent from one year earlier.
