Inflation remains at 0.5% in May

The year-on-year change in consumer prices was 0.5 per cent in May 2025, according to Statistics Finland.

In April, inflation stood also at 0.5 per cent. The month-on-month change of consumer prices was minus 0.1 per cent.

In May 2025, consumer prices were raised most year-on-year by the general hospital fee, maintenance charge and coffee.

The rise in consumer prices from one year ago was curbed most by average interest rate on housing loans, interests on consumer credit and electricity.

The core inflation of the Consumer Price Index was 0.7 per cent.
